the good, the bad, and the ugly about the writing life

sari

Here’s the kind of blog that inspires me. Can one write prose that’s reminiscent of sari silk?

knit/lab

My current knitting –
inspired by Indian embroideries, weaving and filigree – with stranding, intarsia and lace knitting.
The beautiful colors are from Erica at colorshift yarns – the parade progressions, with burgundy to copper and copper to koi gradations.
The dominant color pairing shifts from burgundy with magenta/pink towards bright orange with lemon yellow – I’m past the halfway mark now, and working with paprika and orange yellow.
